Connect Shopify to FoxPay: custom app, payment links and order status
How the individual Shopify integration works: a manual payment method, emailed payment link and synchronized payment status.
The current integration path
FoxPay connects to Shopify through a custom app. Client ID and Client Secret from the Shopify Dev Dashboard are configured during setup, along with a manual payment method and a webhook for new orders. Buyers receive a localized payment link by email and pay through FoxPay checkout. Payment status is then synchronized with the order.
This flow serves merchants who need an additional payment path suited to their business model. Setup is individual. Available features depend on the store, market, onboarding and approved payment methods.
What merchants should check before launch
Store credentials, webhook signatures, email delivery and payment-status updates form one workflow. A created order or a sent payment link is not proof of payment. Merchants should also check how pending and expired orders are handled before launch.
This integration is not a native Shopify Payments App or an automatic Shopify App Store installation. The described path uses a manual payment method followed by a payment-link email.
